Hi, I'm Lexi!

I'm a certified elementary educator, curriculum designer, and passionate parent supporter. After ten years of classroom experience, I realized something powerful — the most meaningful learning does not happen exclusively at school.

 

It happens at home. Whether during story time, cooking dinner, or in the small everyday moments, families play a powerful role in shaping a child’s education.

I founded Open Door Learning to bridge the gap that exists between home and school.  My mission is simple — 

to equip and empower parents with practical tools that make learning not only manageable, but also meaningful and joyful.

  • Certified elementary educator with 10 years of classroom experience, including 5 years teaching kindergarten​ 

  • Current Curriculum Trainer for McGraw-Hill, training and supporting teachers nationwide to deliver effective, research-based instruction​

​​Education: 

  • BS in Elementary Education with mathematics and science concentrations, University of Michigan (GO BLUE!)

  • MSE in Reading, with a dyslexia certification​
